Independence Day

We had a wonderful 4th of July.  We went over to our friends parents house which has a huge  backyard and pool for the kids.  They even rented a bounce house, they are so sweet and generous!  The kids were able to play with their friends, swim all day, play on the playground and bounce in the bounce house.  It was a perfect day with some precious friends!

Cooper likes the water, but he is still getting used to being in a pool.
Kinsley on the other hand is fearless and LOVES the water.
This is the spa and if you can see in the background of the picture there is a playground and a basketball court.  This is all part of their backyard.  It is every child's dream backyard!
I love Cooper's smile in this picture!  Look at how blond he is!!  So yummy!
I love this picture of Chris and Kinsley.  She loves her daddy so much!!!
After the pool day we went over to some other friends house, which has a perfect view of the fireworks.  Before the big fireworks, Rusty Brooke brought some of his own that he lit up on the street.  The kids were loving it (obviously)!
Not too bad huh???
Kinsley wasn't so sure about the sparkler.
Then she really started to love it, until she burned her finger.  Poor thing.
Getting ready to watch the fireworks.
No, this was NOT posed.  Doesn't it look like they are on a date?  They watched the fireworks like that for awhile.  UMMM, aren't they a little too young for this?  Chris was asking Kinsley's friend what "his intentions for his daughter" were.  It was hilarious.  Chris is a very sweet yet protective daddy!
My men!
We even made smores on the driveway after the fireworks.  It was the perfect ending to a fantastic day!
Thank you Lord for our freedom!  We love you all!!

Yummy Brownies!

I made some brownies for a friend of mine and I let the kids lick the bowl.  I know that it isn't very smart since there are raw eggs in it, but let's be honest I had tons of batter and cookie dough when I was young and I am still here! :)  I love making cookies because I love cookie dough and obviously the kids liked the brownie batter! :)

This is my attempt to get a recent picture of both the kids for Chris for Father's Day.  It was interesting, but fun!

This is one I used!
I love these kids!!

Playing Catch Up! Kinsley's B-day

For Kinsley's birthday, Chris and I took her to Disneyland.  Just the three of us!   We were able to see all of the characters!  We even saw Chip and Dale and we thought of you Drew Drew!  But we seriously had such a great time just enjoying our big three year old!  Time flies by!
On the tram taking us to the park!
I thought it was hilarious, the way she was sitting on Chris!
Kinsley is IN LOVE with Mary Poppins.  She loves the movie and she is always singing the songs from it.  She kept saying she wanted to see Mary Poppins and I told Chris that I doubted we would see her, since I have NEVER seen her there.  But the Lord is so good, after we were there about 45 minutes we walked out of the Tiki Room and there she was.  Kinsley even wanted to take a picture with her (which she NEVER wants to do with the other characters).  I was such an excited mommy!
She was a very pretty Mary Poppins!
My big three year old!

Can you guess who that is???  Yep, it is Guy Fiere (sp?) from the Food Network.  Chris season passes "Guys Big Bite" and "Diners, Drive In's and Dives" on our Tivo so it was really fun to see him in person!

Watching the "Celebrate" parade!
And all she wanted was a balloon!
On her actual birthday, we did a little park date in the morning with a couple of her friends, then that night Chris and I baked her a heart cake and she wanted green frosting!  Go figure :)

Words can't describe how much a ADORE this sweet girl.  I do not deserve to have her as my daughter!  The Lord is so wonderful to give her to me while we are here on earth!
